What Nikiti Has to Offer
Kiki’s Place is situated at the far end of the main beach on a hill, commanding spectacular views of the village and the surrounding area. Mount Olympus can be seen in the distance on a clear day, and that’s only the beginning.
The village of Nikiti sits at the top of the middle peninsula of Halkidiki called Sithonia. The name Sithnoia derives from Sithonas, son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea.
Nikiti is one of the oldest villages in Halkidiki, with its history dating back about 700 years. In addition, the village has a 30 km coastline consisting of many magnificent beaches, in which some proudly display the prestigious blue flag award, which help to inform tourists that the beach they are visiting is one of the best in the world.
There is a traditional market every Friday in the village from 8:30AM to 1:00PM, where you can buy local produce, including the world famous Nikiti honey! Here, you can get the chance to try a large variety of honey, from pine tree honey, flower honey, fir honey, sousoura (heather) honey, and even orange bloom honey! There are also many restaurants, bars, and cafés around the village, along with other shops selling local hand crafts. There are two main supermarkets on the main road, two pharmacies, and also a number of ATM machines for your convenience. The two pharmacies are located before the traffic lights when entering Nikiti. The nearest medical center is located in the village of Agios Nikolas, which is only 9 km away.
